Change your service or experience cancellation policy

You can check the cancellation policy for your listing in your Listing editor and change it if the option is available. Note that depending on the type of service or experience you’re providing, additional cancellation policy options may not be available.

Most services and experiences have a 1-day cancellation policy

This means guests can cancel for a full refund until 1 day (24 hours) before the service or experience start time (at the local time of the service or experience), and you won’t be paid for that booking.

Certain services and experiences may have a 3-day cancellation policy

In addition to the 1-day policy option, some hosts will have the option of choosing a cancellation policy that allows guests to cancel for a full refund until 3 days (72-hours) before the service or experience start time. This policy option is only available to certain hosts depending on their offering.

Change your service or experience cancellation policy

Change your cancellation policy on desktop

  1. Click Listings and select the listing you want to edit
  2. Under Listing editor, click Cancellation policy
  3. If you have an option, make your selection

What happens to the cancellation policy for existing reservations when you make a change

If you have the option to change to your cancellation policy for your service or experience, the changes will only apply to future reservations and won’t affect any pending or confirmed reservations. The cancellation policy that was set when you received a reservation will still apply to that reservation.
