Updating your Luxe listings

As a Luxe host, you can update your listings status and content at any time through your account by visiting your listings. This self-serve feature is available 24/7.

It is important to keep your Airbnb listing accurate and up to date at all times. This includes information such as pricing, availability and any rules or requirements that apply to your guests or the listing. Inaccurate or undisclosed information can lead to misrepresentation, guest dissatisfaction during stays and negative reviews.

When making major changes, keep in mind that upcoming guest stays may be affected and that you’ll need to honour the original reservation terms. We encourage you to proactively communicate with your guests as soon as possible to let them know about the changes and any alternatives you may be able to offer.

Listing editor

The Listing editor tab is split into two sections: Your space and Arrival guide. These sections allow you to describe your home, showcase its most important features and amenities and provide essential guest information.

To review or make any changes to your Luxe listings, go to Listings and select the listing you want to edit.

Your space

This section helps you describe your home and take potential guests through a photo tour journey of where they will be staying. Adding pictures of all rooms helps guests make informed booking decisions based on their travel needs and sets them up for accurate expectations for their stay. Providing accessibility features to the listing gives extra transparency for guests who are searching for those requirements easily and ensures that all members of the group can enjoy accessing all areas of your home.

Luxe-exclusive amenities and add-ons

Luxe listings have some exclusive amenity options that can be added to showcase your home’s included features or the add-ons that you can arrange for guests at an additional cost.

  • Keep in mind that Experiences & Services liability insurance, a part of AirCover for Hosts, only provides liability coverage to Experience and Service hosts when experiences or services are arranged using the Airbnb platform. 
  • It does not apply to any service or experience that you arrange for your guests off the Airbnb platform.

Ensure that your listing’s location is accurate.

Tips on writing directions:

  • Include GPS coordinates of the property.
  • Use street names and/or landmarks so the directions make sense to someone that’s never been to the area (e.g. don’t copy and paste Google Maps directions with just distances). This is particularly essential if the location of the listing is not accurately represented by standard GPS systems.

    House rules

    Modify the general house rules applicable to each of your listings, including suitability for children, permission to bring pets, if the property is smoking or non-smoking and permission to host events. Make sure you add any additional rules you may have specific to your home.

    Policies

    You can configure or modify your listing’s cancellation policy, but ensure you review the Host Cancellation Policy beforehand. Note that selecting a new cancellation policy will only apply to future reservations.

    Arrival guide

    Ensure that your Arrival guide is accurate and up to date with the latest information to ensure a smooth arrival and seamless stay in your home.

    Check-in with a representative

    If a representative will meet the guests for check-in, consider describing how the typical greeting/orientation tour works. Examples of relevant information to consider include:

    • When and where are they greeted?
    • What information (e.g.: related to the amenities) should the representative provide to guests?
    • Is a transfer included?
    • Should guests notify someone when they are leaving the airport?

    Examples of check-in instructions:

    • Kindly call your on-site contact when you are an hour away from the property to reconfirm your arrival time and to coordinate your check-in. If you encounter any delays, please call back to update your expected time of arrival.
    • Please make your way to the villa following the provided driving directions for self check-in. The lockbox code is 1234.
